Delete your BEAM account and data
Delete it in the app
On a parent's device, open Settings in the BEAM app, tap Delete account (at the bottom), and confirm with your parent PIN. This works the same on Android, iPhone and iPad.
Your account and your family's data are permanently deleted from our database right away, and paired kid devices are signed out. If you signed in with Apple, we also tell Apple to disconnect BEAM from your Apple ID.
Or ask us by email
Email support@glowjar.io with the subject “Delete my BEAM account”. Send it from the email address on your BEAM parent account (the email of the Google or Apple account you sign in with), so we can confirm the request is really yours.
What we delete
- Your parent account.
- All of your children's profiles.
- Learning and quiz history.
- Mission proof photos.
- Screen-time records.
- All devices paired with your family.
What may be kept
- Anonymous, aggregated statistics, such as how often children of a given age completed an activity. They contain no names, email addresses, photos or account identifiers, can't be linked back to your family, and are used only to improve BEAM.
- If you choose to tell us why you're deleting your account, your answer, kept without your name, email or any link to your account.
- Records we are required to keep by law, for only as long as the law requires.
- Beam Plus subscription records held by Apple. Apple keeps these, not us, and deleting your BEAM account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel Beam Plus in your Apple account's subscription settings.
How long it takes
Deleting in the app takes effect right away. We complete email requests within 30 days of receiving them. Our database backups and photo storage keep deleted data for 7 more days to protect against mistakes, and then it is gone for good.
Removing just one child
You don't need to delete your whole account to remove one child. Remove the child's profile in the BEAM app, or email support@glowjar.io with the child's name.
