Who we are and what these terms cover

BEAM by GlowJar (“BEAM”, “we”, “us”) is made by Glow Jar Ltd, a company based in Israel. These terms cover the BEAM app for Android and iOS and this website, glowjar.io. By creating a BEAM account, pairing a device, or using this site, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your family's information.

Parent accounts

A BEAM account is created by a child's parent or legal guardian. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that a parent or guardian of yours agrees to these terms with you. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your parent PIN private, and for everything done in your family through your account. Please keep the information you give us accurate.

Children

Children use BEAM's kid mode only on a device that a parent has paired with their account. By adding a child and pairing a device, you confirm that you are that child's parent or guardian, or have their parent's permission, and you agree to these terms on the child's behalf. You decide the rules your family uses in BEAM and remain responsible for supervising your child.

Screen-time controls

BEAM helps families manage screen time, but no app can promise to block every app or prevent every workaround, especially when a device's settings are changed or a system update changes how Android or iOS behaves. BEAM supports your supervision; it does not replace it.

Glow points

Glow points are earned inside BEAM through learning and missions and can be spent on screen time your family allows. They are not money, have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, or transferred, and are not refundable.

Beam Plus

Beam Plus is an optional subscription that unlocks extra features. On iOS it is sold through Apple's App Store, and Apple handles payment, free trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds under Apple's terms. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple account settings. Deleting your BEAM account does not cancel it. Prices and features are shown in the app before you buy.

Your family's content

Content your family adds to BEAM, such as mission photos, notes, suggestions, and custom tasks, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so that we can run BEAM for your family. It is visible only within your family.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse BEAM or this site. That includes uploading unlawful or harmful content, trying to access another family's data, disrupting or reverse-engineering the service or the systems behind it, or submitting false, abusive, or automated sign-ups to our waitlist.

Ending your account

You can stop using BEAM at any time and delete your account and your family's data as described on our Delete your account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users or the service at risk.

Intellectual property

The BEAM and GlowJar names and logos, the app, its learning content, and the content on this site (copy, illustrations, and design) belong to Glow Jar Ltd unless otherwise noted, and may not be reproduced without permission.

No warranties

BEAM and this site are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work to keep BEAM reliable and accurate, but we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glow Jar Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of BEAM or this site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel (placeholder — final governing-law clause pending legal review), without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes

We may update these terms as BEAM evolves. We'll post the new version here and update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email if a change significantly affects you. Continuing to use BEAM after an update means you accept the revised terms.
